Rakhe Rakhanhaar

This shabd, Rakhe Rakhan Har, these sounds, these words, contain eight beats.  This is a song of victory.  Your defeated life can turn into victory. These words have that power hidden in them.  It is open and honest.  I do this shabd in prayer around the house. I repeat it all the time because I don’t believe in suffering.

Rakhe Rakhanhaar

Rakhay rakhanhaar aap ubaariun

Hoaa aap dayaal manho na visaariun
Saadh janaa kai sang bhavjal taarian
Saakat nindak dusht khin maa-eh bidaariun
Tis saahib kee tayk naanak manai maa-eh
Jis simrat sukh ho-eh saglay dookh jaa-eh

God himself is looking out for me,
Gives me light and takes care of my affairs
God is merciful , and never forgets me.
God guides me, giving me good people to help me
God does not allow any harm to come to me.
I take comfort in the thought of God.
When I remember God, I feel peaceful and happy
And all my pain departs.

The One Divine Mother conceived and gave birth to the three deities.
One, the Creator of the World; One, the Sustainer; and One, the Destroyer.
The Creator makes things happen according to the Pleasure of His Will. Such is the Celestial Order.
The Creator watches over all, but none see Him. How wonderful this is!
I bow to the Divine, I humbly bow.
The Primal One, the Pure Light, without beginning, without end. Throughout all the ages, The Creator is One and the Same.

Without challenge and without calamity, what is victory? We are born to conquer.
